Folder Protection is a small application with one goal: to allow users to encrypt folders and hide them from prying eyes.
As we have effectively made a full switch from storing information on paper to computers, privacy remains a major concern for many users. Folder Protection ensures that users have privacy from prying eyes on both their local computers as well as remote access trojans (RATs).
The software encrypts the contents of any folder a user selects. The user can choose to make the folder visible at all or not from the program. If the computer is accessed by someone else or becomes infected with a RAT, that information is safe. It uses an encryption key set by the user in the form of a "passphrase", or an extended version of a password.
Compatible with Windows 98 and above, it works on nearly any Windows machine.
